The SONOFF TH Elite is a Smart Temperature and Humidity monitoring switch based on ESP32. With an LCD screen, TH Elite can be used to monitor the temperature and humidity in real-time and once they reach your preset threshold or the device’s on/off state changes, you will receive a push notification on your smartphone.
The SONOFF TH Elite supports a maximum of 20A, suitable for most high load equipment, e.g. electric floor heating.
In addition, this switch also supports dry contact applications, such as energising a separate contactor for higher load applications. You can therefore use it to replace your traditional thermostat (with dry contact) to control systems triggered by the traditional switch / thermostat.
The TH Elite also maintains 6-month Temp & Humidity history, accurate to the hour.
Smart scene controls include temperature, humidity and on / off as triggers.
This switch also supports Home Assistant for control and automation through the eWeLink add-on.
The following SONOFF sensors are supported by the TH Elite:
- THS01: Temp & Humidity Sensor
- DS18B20: Waterproof Temp sensor
- MS01: Soil Moisture Sensor
- RL560: Sensor extension cable to extend your device’s distance to 60m for the THS01 and DS18B20, or 10m for the MS01 Soil Moisture Sensor .
The connectors of all sensors have been upgraded to RJ9 plug connectors and now support hot-plug in, making the connection more stable and reliable.
THS01 Sensor
- Sensor Type: Temperature & Humidity sensor
- Connector type: RJ9 4P4C
- Temperature Measuring Range: –40℃~+85°C
- Humidity Measuring Range: 0~100%RH
- Cable Length: 50cm
DS18B20 Sensor
- Sensor Type: Waterproof temperature sensor
- Connector type: RJ9 4P4C
- WorkigTemperature: -55℃~+125℃
- Length: 50cm
MS01 Sensor
- Sensor Type: Soil Moisture Sensor
- Humidity Measuring Range: 0~100%RH
- Operating Temperature Range: 0℃~60°C
- Cable Length: 50cm
RL560 Sensor Extension Cable
- Conductor resistance: max.10Ω
- Insulation resistance: min.5MΩ
- Length: 5m cable length & Max. 60m extendable length.
Notes:
- THS01 (Temperature and Humidity) and WTS01 (Waterproof Temperature) are designed for use with the TH Elite series. The MS01 (Soil Moisture) comes with a free RJ9 adapter to fit the TH Elite.
- The RL560 is the standard Sonoff sensor extension cable with RJ9. Alternative CAT5 extension cables are also available and can be manufactured to custom lengths.
- No sensors are included with the TH Origin or TH Elite switches and should be ordered separately.
- This device needs to connect to your 2.4 GHz router for WiFi control.
IMPORTANT NOTES WHEN USING THE TH ELITE OR TH ORIGIN TO CONTROL A GEYSER:
- MAKE SURE THAT THE “AUTO” FUNCTION IS ENABLED when using temperature triggers to control a geyser (“Auto” should be highlighted.)
- If you are unable to select Auto, ensure that you have defined the settings.
- Click on “Set” and add the relevant rules.
- Click on “Save” to ensure that the settings have been applied.
- Example of settings to switch geyser ON when temperature is lower than 50°C and OFF when temperature is higher than 70°C during the period 22:00 to 06:00 with State set as OFF outside the effective period:
- Theoretically, a Sonoff 20A smart switch should be able to handle geyser elements up to 3kW. It is however recommended to use an adequately rated contactor or relay with the Sonoff switch to allow the main current to pass through the contactor / relay, instead of the Sonoff switch.
