Features:
- Support No Neutral and With Neutral: The ZBM5 is designed to adapt to your home’s wiring configuration. Whether or not a neutral wire is available, it can be easily connected to control lights.
- Detach Relay Mode: With the detach relay enabled, smart lights won’t lose power when the wall switch is turned off, allowing them to remain smart at all times. (Note that this function requires that the neutral wire be connected as well.)
- Compatible with Zigbee Hubs: ZBM5 integrates with Zigbee hubs, such as SONOFF NSPanel Pro, SONOFF iHost, SONOFF ZB Bridge-P, SONOFF ZB Bridge-U and ZBDongle-E/P.
- Works with Home Assistant: ZBM5 seamlessly integrates with third-party open-source platforms, such as Home Assistant (with Zigbee Dongle), making it perfect for your home automation needs.
- Feature rich: ZBM5 has all basic functions, like remote APP control, voice control, timing schedule, smart scene, etc, making your life more convenient.
Overview:
The ZBM5 is a Zigbee smart wall switch with physical buttons and offers flexible wiring options with or without Neutral wire connections. The ZBM5 is available in 1, 2 or 3 gang options and supports App remote control, detach relay mode, timers, smart scene, etc. It is truly your reliable assistant for a smart home.
ZBM5 can adapt to your home’s wiring setup, supporting two modes: no neutral required mode and neutral required mode. In neutral required mode, ZBM5 operates as a Zigbee router, enhancing the robustness and coverage of your Zigbee network, supporting smart lights, and can be used with the detach relay function in the eWeLink app. With the detach relay enabled, smart lights won’t lose power when the wall switch is turned off, allowing them to remain smart at all times. *Note that this function requires that the neutral wire be connected as well.
In no neutral required mode, ZBM5 operates as a Zigbee end device. The external load must meet a minimum power requirement of 3W. It doesn’t support smart lights, including but not limited to dimmable, color-changing, gradient, and lights with built-in controllers and LED strips.
ZBM5 is compatible with Home Assistant using the ZBDongle via ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT integration, creating a smart home solution that works seamlessly with devices from various manufacturers.

Notes:
- Zigbee devices require a Zigbee bridge such as SONOFF NSPanel Pro, SONOFF iHost, SONOFF ZB Bridge-P, SONOFF ZB Bridge-U and ZBDongle-E/P.
- To control the switch remotely, a 2.4GHz Wifi connection may be required to connect to the Zigbee Bridge.
- For relay detachment, e.g. to control smart bulbs, the neutral wire needs to be connected as well
- For 2-way control, consider adding the Sonoff Switchman R5 Scene Controller.
