Sonoff Pow R3 is a 25A Wi-Fi smart switch for geysers, pumps and and appliances that demand management of bigger loads, (vs the 15A of the POWR2). The switch can be mounted on a DIN rail and also allows you to remotely manage and control your appliances, as well as monitor your home energy usage on the app. Overload protection can also be set at user defined levels .
The POWr3 can connect to and monitor the consumption of a complete room.
The consumption monitoring function is useful in that it doesn’t just visually communicate how much electricity you’re using, but also stores your historical energy consumption for 100 days, which can be exported to a CSV-file on your phone.
This switch lets you turn electronics on or off from anywhere with your smartphone using the eWeLink app or by simply giving voice commands to Amazon Alexa or Google Home Assistant.
This switch is also ideal as a Home Assistant add-on as the metadata and power consumption can be displayed on Hass via the eWeLink add-on.
The POWr3 also supports Alexa’s smart energy functionality, enabling you to view the overall or individual device energy consumption in the Alexa Energy Dashboard.
