Installation

Settings
Pairing and setup
-
It is recommended to pair and set the minimum and maximum level settings prior to installing the sensor on top of the tank.
- Download and install the app (Smart Life or Tuya). Register an account and log in.
- In the App, click on the “+” / Add Device.
- On the Sensor, press and hold the pairing button for approximately 5 seconds, or at least until the LED flashing confirms that Pairing Mode has been activated.
- Watch the App screen for further details. Once the Device has been added and visible in the App, click on the Tank Sensor’s “tile” to enter the device’s main screen. Scroll down and select “Settings” at the bottom of the page.
- Under Settings, set the following:
- Installation Height = Overall height of the tank, i.e. distance between installed sensor and lowest water level (e.g. 2.0m)
- Sensor to full line =Â Â Distance from sensor to water level, when 100% full (e.g. 10.0cm)
- Set Mini = minimum level for notifications, automations, etc, (e.g. 25%)
- Set Max =Â maximum level for notifications, automations, etc, (e.g. 95%)
- NOTE that after a period of inactivity, the sensor may exit programming mode to conserve energy and battery life. In this case the user will need reenter programming mode by single/quick press of the pairing button. This may also need to be done when the settings need to be adjusted in future.
Notifications and automations
Notifications and automations can be defined in the Scenes menu in the App, e.g. send notification to phone when water level drops to below 20%.
Notes:
- 2.4GHz WIFI required
- Power requirement is 5VDC (not 12VDC)
